The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department comprises 36 academic staff supported by 9 technical staff.
Although, it is one of the youngest departments of the Faculty of Engineering, it is highly committed towards quality teaching, research in advanced areas of computer science and consultancy work.
The department is keen in having good working relations with industry in terms of collaboration in Research and Development (R&D). People from the different fields of Information Technology are invited to be part of the Advisory Committee for our different curricula where they give their views on the relevance of our courses to industry's needs.
The department is equipped with a number of labs, where students have facilities, in terms of hardware, software, network infrastructure and internet access, to carry out their practical work and assignments.
The department is presently catering for more than 700 students making it one of the largest departments of University and offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study.
