The University of Mauritius Trust (UoM) Trust and the Mauritius Employers' Federation (MEF) College of Management are planning to establish a meaningful partnership between the two institutions by setting up an International Business School.
This joint venture recognizes the value of what can be achieved when universities and businesses work together in support of our students. The UoM Trust has been set up in 2006 with the main objective of “generating funds for specific projects at the University of Mauritius or any institution set up by the University or any entity fitting the purpose of education, research and development and the promotion of innovation”.
The Mauritius Employers' Federation founded in 1962 is, first and foremost, the voice of all employers in Mauritius, whom it represents officially, vis-à-vis the Government, on the one hand, and the trades' union movement, on the other, and in countless forums and statutory boards and committees at the sectorial, national and international levels. The current membership of the MEF stands over 700, with enterprises from all economic sectors of the country. The MEF was founded in 1962, six years prior to the accession of Mauritius to Independence.
