Yes. MIBS has been set up under the UoM Trust. It is governed by the Acts and Statutes of the University of Mauritius which has a proven track record of more than 40 years in the field of Tertiary Education.
The UOM Trust is duly registered with the Tertiary Education Commission.

Yes. External Examiners from eminent International Business Schools around the globe are appointed to moderate each Programme of Study.

5. How is MIBS different from UoM?

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
7. Undergraduate Programmes
Credit in five (5) subjects at ‘O’ Level and 2 GCE ‘A’ Level passes.
8. Postgraduate Programmes
At least a Second Class Degree from a recognised University or an alternative qualification acceptable to the University.
Preference will be given to candidates with work experience.
Note : Each Programme of study has specific Programme Requirements.
9. International Students
Any other qualification deemed equivalent to 7 & 8 above.
FEES
Application Fee : Rs 1,000 non-refundable
10. Undergraduate Programmes
An all-inclusive package of Rs 60,000 per academic year for the whole programme duration.
11. Postgraduate Programmes
An all-inclusive package of Rs 200, 000, which covers General fees and tuition fees as well as fees related to seminars.
12. International Students
Same as 10 & 11 above.
13. What facilities are available to effect payment of Tuition Fees?
Requests for payment facilities will be dealt with on a case-to-case basis. Prospective students shall submit their requests together with their application form.
14. Are bursaries and scholarships available to MIBS students?
Yes. Bursaries and Scholarships are available for needy students following full-time undergraduate programmes only.
15. What are the criterion to be eligible for Bursaries and Scholarships at MIBS?
Financial status of students / their parents / their families.
SEMESTER DATES AND PROGRAMME DURATION
16. When do the courses start?
Several intakes occur during one Academic Year. Please visit the MIBS Website on http://www.uom.ac.mu/mibs regularly to be informed about registration and admission dates.
17. What is the duration of a Programme?

18. At what time are the part time Undergraduate and Postgraduate classes run?
Classes for all part time Programmes are run twice or thrice a week from 17.00hrs to 20.00hrs and on Saturdays whole day. Classes for full-time programmes are run on a whole-day basis during week days.
PRACTICUMS (Practical Training)
MIBS full-time undergraduate programmes cater for 6 months of on-the-job training (placement) deemed compulsory, to complete the Undergraduate Programmes satisfactorily.
The 6-months training is either carried out at one stretch or is spread over the whole duration of the programme (for further information please refer to the programme structures)
19. When will the placement take place?
The time frame for placements is indicated in each Programme Structure. Please refer to the Programme Structures on the MIBS Website.
20. Who will identify placement availability for students?
This exercise is carried out jointly by MIBS and the students concerned. MEF will act as facilitator for most of the cases.
21. Do students get a stipend during the placement period?
This will depend on the recruiting company policy.
