This will be hands-on training on the utilisation of bioinformatics applications for understanding pathogen genomes. Participants will have to opportunity to work through the various tutorials that will guide them on how to use the tools. Particular attention will be given to the genome of Plasmodium falciparum. Working with ENSEMBL, EMBOSS etc.
Target participants are: postgraduate students, faculty members and other researchers wishing to learn how to work with pathogen genomes to enhance their research.
A good understanding of basic molecular biology is a requirement.
