The IoT/IPv6 workshop organised by the FoICDT in collaboration with CITS was sponsored by AUF. The aim of the workshop was to introduce academics from local tertiary institutions which are members of AUF to IoT and IPv6. It is expected that they will transfer the skills they have acquired to their students as part of a module or provide guidance to the students who are undertaking final year projects using IoT and/or IPv6.
The opening ceremony was attended by the VC and represenstives from the industry along with people from various local communities including the Mauritius Maker's Community
After the opening ceremony, there was a showcase of IoT project currently being implemented by out students. During the IoT working sessions, the participants have been exposed to a number of sensors used in IoT, and different micro-controllers and they were expected to develop a small IoT-based applications on the last day of the training.
