Located almost in the geographic centre of the campus, the University Library has an area of 32,200 sq. ft spread over four floors with a book capacity of 150,000 volumes approximately and space for 350 readers.

The ground floor houses the administrative, technical and staff sections. It comprises a security area and lobby, offices for the administrative staff as well as a multi-purpose auditorium presently occupied by the Campus Numerique Francophone.There is also an area equipped with PCs where users can have access to online materials and also various databases to which the library subscribes.

The first floor is an open area with reader tables and a popular browsing area. The sections that are found on this floor are the circulation counter, the Mauritiana Section, offices of Senior Librarian, Librarian and Senior Library Officers. There is also a room where photocopy facilities are available for library users.

The second floor is used for stacking the main book collection.

The third floor is occupied by Reserve Collection, Law Collection, Reserve, UN and References. There is also space for reading and studying purposes.
