Postdoctoral Researcher of South China University of Technology Interacting with Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius
On 18 August, Ge Hanjie, a postdoctoral researcher and assistant research fellow at South China University of Technology’s Centre for Indian Ocean Island Countries Studies, visited Confucius Institute at the University of Mauritius for an in-depth interview session with the directors of CI-UoM. The co-directors welcomed Ge Hanjie and outlined CI-UoM's decade of growth as a leading platform for Chinese-language education in Mauritius.
The discussions focused on the state of local Chinese-language education and the institute's distinctive features, providing first-hand field data for her research project on Chinese-language education in Mauritius.
After productive exchanges on teaching, training, and localization, both sides agreed to continue supporting academic research and Sino-Mauritian exchange.
