Diwali Celebrations at Academy for Integrated and Sustainable Development, Oct 2019

The Staff of CI-UoM were very pleased to be invited by Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) to participate in the Diwali celebration at Academy for Integrated and Sustainable Development (AISD), Wooton, on Saturday 19 October 2019.

In their speeches, Respected Brother Anand and Sister Geeta reflected on the values and principles governing one’s life and reminded us of the humanity within each of us. There are much in common between the key values of Confucian thinking and the value and principles of the spiritual teachings of BKWSU. One such common value is humaneness, that is, the care and concern for other human beings.

Miss Lanhui He (Lanny) performed a music recital using the traditional Chinese flute, the ‘hulusi’ or cucurbit flute which is a free reed instrument from Yunnan that is shaped like a gourd. The performance was much appreciated by one and all.
