Visit of a Delegation of ZSTU Exchange Students to UoM, Aug 2019

From 22nd to 24th of August 2019, a delegation of ZSTU students visited the University of Mauritius as per the exchange program between the two universities. The delegation of 11 students, headed by Ms. Guo Shu, Executive Official of Student Affairs, was warmly welcomed by the Pro.VC of Planning and Resources at the UoM, Associate Professor Mohammad Issack Santally, the two CI-UoM Directors, Associate Professor Naraindra Kistamah and Associate Professor Tan Xudong, and CI-UoM student volunteers.  
During the three days’ visit, the delegation visited UoM campus, interacted with students and attended a talk series organized by CI-UoM. Ms Sheena Sookrajowa of the Department of History and Political Science talked about the ‘Political System in Mauritius’. The talk was followed by that given by Associate Professor Naraindra Kistamah who detailed the ‘History
of Textile & Apparel Industry in Mauritius’. The students visited Museums and other cultural places across the island. The visitors learnt a lot about the history and the development of the country. They were very thankful to the staff of UoM, and the CI-UoM student volunteers for the warmth and hospitality.
