SIGCOMM 2026 POD

ACM SIGCOMM is the flagship annual conference of the ACM Special Interest Group on Data Communication (SIGCOMM). ACM SIGCOMM 2026, the 40th edition of the conference series, will be held between August 17 - 21, 2026, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, USA.

The University of Mauritius is organizing a SIGCOMM Pod, themed, “Building Resilient Connectivity for Mauritius through AI and Networking Research” to coincide with the SIGCOMM main conference held in Denver, Colorado, USA.

The ACM SIGCOMM Conference is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious and influential conferences in the field of computer networking. Organized by the Association for Computing Machinery through its Special Interest Group on Data Communication (SIGCOMM), the conference serves as a premier venue for researchers and practitioners to present groundbreaking work on network architectures, protocols, systems, and measurements. Many foundational technologies of the modern Internet, such as advances in congestion control, data center networking, software-defined networking (SDN), and network measurement, were first introduced or significantly advanced through papers presented at SIGCOMM. Due to its highly competitive acceptance rate and rigorous peer-review process, publications in SIGCOMM are considered highly impactful and often shape both academic research directions and industry practices in networking. The conference has played a critical role in driving innovations that underpin today’s global Internet infrastructure and emerging communication technologies.

Our SIGCOMM pod will be a locally organized gathering at the Ebene Core lecture theater, where we will stream the SIGCOMM main conference program while providing a shared community experience for participants. Importantly, the Pod will provide a valuable opportunity for our students and early-career researchers to experience the prestigious international SIGCOMM conference. It will allow you to witness and be part of discussions that play a critical role in driving innovations that underpin today’s global Internet infrastructure and emerging communication technologies. We acknowledge financial support obtained from SIGCOMM for the organization of this POD.

Please register by Tuesday 11th August 2026 if you are interested to attend, so that we can plan for dinner for all participants and transportation for students from the PoD to their residence. As seats are limited, your participation will be subject to confirmation. We will inform you once your registration has been accepted.

We have also negotiated for our local audience to be able to follow the SIGCOMM NIO-VE Tutorial online. The tutorial will be on Monday the 17th August 2026 at 09:00 Denver time, which is around 19:00 MUT.
