Quality Assurance Monitoring and Enhancement
OVERVIEW OF QUALITY ASSURANCE MONITORING AND ENHANCEMENT
Our QA monitoring and enhancement policy is to uphold the highest academic standards by fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement across all programmes. Programme monitoring, evaluation, and enhancement are evidence-based, participatory, and transparent, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives, accreditation requirements, and the evolving needs of students, employers, and society.
Programme quality, relevance, and outcome-based delivery are assured through the annual Quality Assurance Monitoring and Enhancement process. Reviews are initiated by Boards of Studies and validated through Faculty Boards, the Quality Assurance Office, the Teaching and Research Committee (TRC), and Senate, with oversight provided by Deans/OIC in collaboration with Faculty and Centre Quality Assurance Teams (FQAT/CQAT) and Heads of Departments.
Programme monitoring is informed by diverse sources of evidence, including student performance data, Graduate Tracer Studies, Employers’ Needs Surveys, Training Needs Analyses, staff reflections, Examination Board outcomes, and External Examiners’ reports, which ensure benchmarking against international standards. The Information Management System (IMS) supports digitised Programme Monitoring Reports, enabling data-driven curriculum improvements, enhanced transparency, and compliance with accreditation requirements.
A consolidated summary of SFQ and External Examiners’ feedback is reviewed annually by Faculty Boards, Teaching and Research Committee, Senate, and Council to ensure continuous enhancement and sustain the University’s commitment to academic excellence.
