A warm welcome to the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Mauritius.

Chemical Engineering is a discipline that integrates within many areas of science and technology. In the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, core chemical engineering subjects/modules are taught as part of the undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. Besides these core subjects/modules, the programmes comprise other subjects that address several of the current global environmental and energy issues. These programmes, as a whole, then foster the inception and development of numerous aptitudes in the students and scholars in the core and specialized areas.  The breadth, depth and versatility of the programmes offered and run by Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering continue to present and unlock new opportunities for the graduates.

The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering has a relatively young, energetic, hardworking and promising academic team.
