UoM at a glance
Established in 1965, the University of Mauritius (UoM) is the first and oldest public University of the Republic of Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean.
Over the past 59 years, the University of Mauritius has produced more than 75 000 graduates (both local and international). The UoM remains the largest provider of quality education at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Currently, the UoM has a student population of over 10 000 students including around 300 international students.
UoM is also the first public university to be ranked in the prestigious Times Higher Education (World University Rankings).
Our main campus is located in Réduit, as illustrated in the map below. It houses all faculties, administrative units, as well as a range of student and support facilities.
